Noel MO Betterment Association Disc Golf/Craft Show/Farmers Mark - CRAFTS, FARMER'S MARKET BOOTHS AVAILABLE FOR FLOAT AND FLING DISC GOLF MAY 19TH The Noel Betterment Association is hosting the First "Float and Fling" Disc Golf, Craft Show and Farmer's Market to be held May 19th. Disc golf is a sport that mirrors regular golf, except instead of a ball and club and shooting to a pin, a disc is thrown into a basket. A new concept for the sport will be held May 19th on the Elk River in McDonald County. A canoe float will be combined with the benefit golf tournament. The floaters will register for their canoe, disc golf and meal (all at one location, yet to be determined) the day of the tournament. Each group of three or more per canoe will then canoe to tee pads and baskets located along the banks of the river. THE CRAFTERS AND FARMER'S MARKET will be held on Gratz Street in Noel. The HomeSchooler's Network Used Curriculum Sale - The HomeSchooler’s Network Used Curriculum Sale May 19th from 9:00 am until 1:30 pm at Wildwood Baptist Church, 4827 East 20th Street Joplin, MO. It is free to attend -- donations appreciated. Sellers must register by May 16th. Fees for individuals or families selling used curriculum are $4.00 for half of an 8 foot table and $8.00 for a whole table. Retail vender fees are $10 for an 8 foot table or equivalent area. At 11:00 am there will be a Panel Presentation geared to people who are thinking about homeschooling, just getting started or heading into a different phase of homeschooling.
