It may be several months before the investigation into a weekend shooting is complete.

   A Miami police officer has been placed on administrative leave after a man was fatally shot on Saturday night.

   The shooting that took place in a Miami apartment, is being investigated by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

   A Miami police officer fired three  rounds at a suspect who allegedly threw a knife at him.

  The suspect died later that night at the Miami Baptist hospital.

  OSBI officials tell KSN the official investigation process may take several months.
