    Tuesday, Jul 15, 2008 @05:20pm CDT

flooding2008-07-15-1216162042.jpgA large number of northeast Oklahoma residents are tired of an ongoing problem and they are now taking action.

Nearly 400 flood victims in the Miami area have expressed interest in a filing a lawsuit.

Plans are underway to file a class-action lawsuit against the Grand River dam authority for flood damages.

In June and July of 2007 the Neosho River flooded a major portion of Miami.

Dozens of homes and businesses were damaged resulting in millions of dollars in damage.

A Topeka attorney will be filing the suit on behalf of the residents.

The target date for the lawsuit is October 2008.
