Reported by: Dustin Lattimer Tuesday, Jul 7, 2009 @08:01pm CDT The investigation into the murder of Robert and Ellen Sheldon continues. Jasper County Sheriff's Department announced Monday that they are searching for someone in Springfield that may hold the key to unlocking information in the case. Action 12's Dustin Lattimer spoke with the Sheldon's son Daniel today.
Daniel Sheldon says it's good to have the investigation back in the news. Daniel and his siblings continue to offer a $40,000 reward for the capture and conviction of their parent's murderer or murderers. Sheldon is helping to run the family business, 'The Old Cabin Shop," following the death of his two parents back in October of last year. He says his family looks forward to any new information from the sheriff's department, because it brings them one step closer to putting all of this behind them. "Every little thing we get is another hope glimpse that this can be solved, I mean it won't bring our parents back but it will help some with the closure part of it," says Daniel. Sheriff Archie Dunn declined to comment when when asked if anyone is in custody or if the department has their eye on any possible suspects. Sheriff Dunn stresses that anyone with information on this case is encouraged to come forward. If you do have information, that number to call is 417-358-8177. |
