Grizzly Industrial recalls about 500 Bandsaws.

Some don't have a grounding wire installed, which poses an electric shock hazard to consumers.

The recall involves the G0640X 17-inch metal/wood bandsaw with an inverter motor. The product's model number (G0640X) is printed on the front of the machine.

They were sold at Grizzly's showrooms, catalog and Web site from February 2008 through July 2009 for about $1,600. Consumers should stop using the recalled bandsaws immediately until the repair kit is installed.

The firm is sending repair kits directly to consumers.
