Monday, Nov 2, 2009 @12:40pm CST JOPLIN-Joplin Police arrest three people in connection to a stolen car. The car was possibly used to commit several other crimes in the area.
The JPD reports that Sunday, officers on patrol spotted the stolen 2001 Chevy Silverado. It was parked in front of a home on the 1000 block of West 2nd street. JPD officers and the swat team entered the house and took into custody three individuals. William Merchant and Tosha Lafleur are both awaiting charges that include first degree tampering with a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property. Christopher Courtney was charged with misdemeanor obstruction. Authorities are continuing to investigate if these three are connected to other crimes. |
