Joplin, MO--St. John's Regional Medical Center is under new management.

In an announcement made Monday Sisters of Mercy Health System has assumed sponsorship of St. John's Regional Medical Center.

Officials at St. John's say this will bring some changes to the local hospital one of the biggest changes is they will be able to draw on a pool of experts and technology from other Sisters of Mercy facilities.

Officials also announced a new president and CEO at St. John's Gary Pulsipher. Pulsipher plans to meet with local leaders about the health care needs of the community over the next few weeks.
