It's Election Day, and several school improvements are on the ballot. However, nearly 90% of the voters decided to stay home.  

Jasper County Clerk Bonnie Earl says she expects a 6% voter turnout for this election.

On the ballot is a Webb City and Carl Junction school bond issue.

The bonds would create new classrooms and make millions of dollars worth of improvements. 

This election cost $38,000 and tax payers have to cover the burden even if no one turns out.
