Reported by: Bonney Bowman Tuesday, Nov 3, 2009 @10:56pm CST The city of Joplin and Jasper County Health Departments paired up with a local medical service provider to host an H1N1 flu shot clinic Tuesday night.
Officials at Access Family Care in Joplin gave the nasal spray to healthy people ages 2 to 49 and those living with an infant under 6 months. Healthcare and emergency medical personnel also received the vaccine. Residents had to have an appointment to attend Tuesday’s clinic, but officials say there will be other opportunities to be immunized. Officials say residents just need to be patient. More clinics will be scheduled as the vaccine becomes available. |
