Independence, MO—A young woman from Missouri was injured in the Fort Hood Massacre Thursday.

Missouri Lt. Governor Peter Kinder reports that 21-year-old Keara Bono of Independence was injured during the shooting on base.

Kinder didn’t elaborate on the extent of her injuries and didn’t say what part she has if any in the military.

In a statement Kinder says, “I offer my thoughts an prayer to Keara and her family and to the families of those who are dead and wounded.”
