School administrators at the USD 250 in Pittsburg are preparing for a half a million dollar cut. That would equal about $150 a child.

Administrators don’t expect to cut teaching positions, but they haven't been filling any vacancies when teachers leave.  

Teachers at Lakeside Elementary school say it's important to trim where they can, but not impact the kid’s education.

The cuts are expected to happen in a couple of weeks. Also more are expected to be made early next year.
