We had reserved a log cabin chapel for our wedding. It was very nice and cozy
but large enough to fit the 75 people who showed up. The arrangement was very
nice, and everything had been planned out in advance (largely my mother's
doing).
On the wedding day, my soon-to-be-mother-in-law decided that she was going to be an hour late to the ceremony! This might not have been a huge catastrophe, but she had all of the candles and was supposed to be there an hour early to set them up! She scurried in (with all the guests looking at her in confusion), and we got the candles in place quickly. Meanwhile, my bride-to-be and her maid of honor were outside awaiting their entrance cue. Wouldn't you know it? The maid of honor loses my ring in the leaves! We had to use the pastor's ring for the ceremony (which was like a hula hoop on my finger)! THEN we had to have a flashlight hunt for my ring after the ceremony. What a disaster!!! |
