Cici_52008-06-13-1213373102.jpgMy dad lives in San Angelo, a small town in west Texas.  He adopted a 5 year old black Shih-Tzu for my sisters and brother.  They wanted a dog and Cici was the one they chose.  Problem came when my dad was working 14 hr days and the kids mother wouldn't let them go to dad’s house to take care of Cici.  Dad knew it wasn’t right for her to be in her crate that long without any attention so he was going to have to take her back to the shelter from which she came.

Cici_62008-06-13-1213373120.jpgRyan and I spent a lot of time talking about Cici and our other 2 babies.  We kept saying we didn’t need another dog but at the same time, we didn’t want her to have to go back to a shelter.  So, we decided to bring her home.  She was going to be Ethan’s Christmas present that year if we could figure out how to get her here without paying an arm and a leg.

My mom was taking a trip to see her family in San Angelo so we decided to ask her if she would bring Cici back with her.  She agreed and Cici made the 10 hours drive with my mother and came home to us.

Cici_42008-06-13-1213373150.jpgShe was really scared on the ride from Texas to Missouri and still scared when I picked her up from my mom’s house.  It didn’t take her too long to come around though.  Slowly she became known as the Princess around our house.

Cici_32008-06-13-1213373167.jpgShe only sleeps on the pillows no matter where she is in the house.  It’s so funny cause she will tip-toe through the grass if it’s even the slightest bit wet and if it’s raining, forget about her going outside easily, you have to pick her up and put her outside.  AND she only gives kisses with the very tip of her tongue.  What a prim and proper … well … princess!

Princess or not, we love her and home would not be home without her!
