PITTSBURG, KS.--- John Hartmann has been spending part of every Friday playing the piano at Via Christi Hospital. Hartmann moved his piano to the hospital while he remodels his home. He asked administrators if he could play for the patients. The music isn't just available in the chapel, it's also broadcast across the in house hospital TV network. Hartmann says he's glad to offer help in healing the patients, but he also benefits from it.
"I sit down and play this music and I'm sort of transported myself to the source of the music which I often hear coming from above," states John Hartmann, Pianist.
Hartmann plays in the Via Christi Chapel on Fridays from 12:30 to 1:30. All performances are free and open to the public.
