Fatal Crawford County Car Accident

CRAWFORD CO.--- The accident happened late last week just west of 240th Road on Highway 171. Witnesses say a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Timothy A. Stevens, of Liberal, MO, was attempting to pass another vehicle on slick pavement. Stevens lost control of the vehicle and collided with a car driven by Shawn Anderson, of Bartlesville, OK.
Stevens was pronounced dead at the scene. Both the driver and passenger of the second vehicle were taken to Via Christie Hospital by emergency crews. A third passenger was treated for injuries on scene and released.
