STELLA, MO -- Hundreds of people gathered at the Stella Veteran's Memorial Park Saturday for the annual "Eagle Days." More than 40 eagles were spotted at one time. Stella is a key location for catching a glimpse of the magnificent birds because of its close location to Indian Creek. Eagle Days is hosted by the Missouri Department of Conservation and Missouri Master Naturalists. This is the fourth year for the event, and organizers say they plan to keep the tradition going every January.

"It gives the family an opportunity to get out and enjoy the great outdoors and to view these magnificent birds," says Eagle Days organizer Gwynn Douglas. "They'r just wonderful to watch and we've had a great showing today."

Besides spotting eagles, kids were able to have their faces painted and participate in building a giant eagle's nest.
