Carl Junction High School Fundraiser for Fatal Car Crash Survivors

CARL JUNCTION, MO.--- The Washburn family was traveling on I-44 earlier this month when a driver heading the wrong-way hit their car head-on. The father was killed in the accident. His wife and 3 daughters were hospitalized.
Now, students at Carl Junction High School are teaming up with Doctor Fly's Salon to raise money for the Washburns. They are selling hair extensions, 100% of the proceeds will go to help the family.
"We're doing blue extensions, they're $5 a piece. We've raised $509 within the last 2 days at Carl Junction High School," says Karina Taylor, Dr. Fly's Salon Stylist.
Doctor Fly's Salon is located at 102 north Range Line in Joplin. They'll be accepting donations until tomorrow evening.
