CHANUTE, KS.--- Police in Chanute have named Brian Shields, 27, and Michelle Dawn Voorhees, 22, suspects in the death of an area woman.
They were initially wanted for questioning last week. Police say they are armed and dangerous. They ask you to be on the lookout and immediately call 911 if you see them.
Police believe they were involved in an fire that killed Cristy Wiles, 37, of Chanute. The blaze broke out about 2 weeks ago at a home on Lafayette Avenue.
Police found Wiles body in the remains of the home a week later. Investigators say she was inside the house when the fire started and died of smoke inhalation.
