Joplin Third Thursday Performance Auditions

JOPLIN, MO.--- Members of the Downtown Joplin Alliance will hold auditions for performers during this years Third Thursday event. They are looking for artists or musicians who are interested in playing at the "Third Thursday" series, which starts in March.

Anyone interested should come to the Kitchen Pass starting tonight at 8:30 to be a part of the "open-mic style" first come, first serve auditions. Organizers say they hope adding this new element will enhance this years attendance.

"I hope that we get a lot of people who are passionate about showing their musical or storytelling art, and I hope that more and more people are excited about engaging in downtown and helping us grow," said Trisha Patton, Exec. Dir., Downtown Joplin Alliance.

This opportunity isn't just for live performers, artists are also welcome. Interested parties can email photos of their work.

Those who can't make it to tonight's auditions can send an email stating their interest, your contact info, and a link to your band to this email address, Thirdthursday@downtownjoplin.com, by this Thursday. For more information, click here.
