COLUMBUS, KS--- The blaze started around 8am Tuesday morning in the attic of a home at Florida and Elm in Columbus, KS, across from Columbus High School. Three people were taken to the hospital as a precaution for smoke inhalation. Columbus and Baxter Springs Fire Departments are still on the scene.
Officials say high winds were a factor in the size of the blaze. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. We'll have more on this fire later today.
