dec20072007-12-21-1198265522.jpg     A four state woman who is a ten year survivor of breast cancer made a choice that has changed her life. It's wasn't a quick decision, but one that has helped her smile a little more and put a spring in her step. Lisa Holden has dedicated her life to helping others.
Today she's helping Tennyson, part of her job as a Freeman home health nurse. While she's helped other freeman patients for 22 years, a year ago she did something to help herself. Lisa is a 10 year breast cancer survivor during her battle she underwent 2 mastectomies. Last year she made the decision to have a tram. It's a tissue flap procedure that uses stomach muscle tissue to create a breast mound.
The surgery and recovery were difficult, but Lisa was prepared both mentally and emotionally. As a strong women's advocate, Lisa encourages women to pay close attention to their own health. For women in her situation thinking about a tram. she has this advice. And, for someone who so clearly cares about others, the procedure has only added happiness to lisa's life.
