JOPLIN, MO.--- 6 different classes were open to anyone at the Y this morning, and you didn't have to be a member to attend. Instructors led everything from Yoga to Aqua-Zumba classes to help workout buffs loose any extra weight put on at the big Thanksgiving meal. Instructors say each of this morning's classes were well attended. They hope opening the gym up to the entire community showcases all of the different, and fun ways to get in shape.

"It's just not today, we want to keep that routine throughout the whole year and  make it a healthy lifestyle so why not start it today. There's no need to wait until the beginning of the year, just start it today and get in a routine," states Liz Scherich, YMCA Marketing Manager.

Every non YMCA member who came to today's event got a free 1 week guest pass.
