Crosslines in Need of Donations

JOPLIN, MO.--- Volunteers at Crosslines in Joplin say warmer clothing for low income families is in high demand. The spot where winter clothing normally hangs is nearly bare, and many people looking for coats walk out empty handed. Last year, the organization provided over 11,000 families with clothing and household items. Case workers say food supplies are needed as well.
"Our numbers are on the rise. The other day in the pantry, we set a record again for food. We helped 72 families that day with food, and that's more than we've ever had to help before," states Kimmy Cornett, Crosslines Case Worker.
If you can donate food or clothing, Crosslines is located at 131 South High Street in Joplin. They work with volunteers from over 62 churches and accept donations Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
