Four States Lowest Price of Living in U.S.

MEIRC measures each states cost of living by averaging relative price levels for housing, utilities, transportation, groceries, health care, and miscellaneous goods and services.
During the 3rd quarter of 2012, Oklahoma came out on top as the least expensive area in the nation. Arkansas ranked 7th, Kansas was 8th, and Missouri was 11th.
The results showed that Midwest and Southern states continue to be the least expensive places to live. The most expensive areas to live are New England, Alaska, Hawaii, and the West coast.
