MIAMI, OK--- The Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation and the Ottawa County District Attorney are handling the murder of John Largent, 38, of Miami.

Miami Police responded to a 911 call from a house on the 100 block of G Street at 10:30 Saturday morning. Authorites say John Largent was found dead in the home from a single gunshot to the chest by a small caliber hand gun. They add the man's wife accidentally shot him. She was taken into custody Saturday but released hours later pending further investigation by the OSBI. District Attorney Eddie Wyant will decide whether to file charges after reviewing the case.
