GRANBY -- City council members have hired Jacob Kelley 31, from Norwood, MO as police chief. Kelley accepted the position earlier this week. Former police chief Scott Whitman resigned in December after serving for two terms. Kelley has been police chief in Fordland, MO and is currently finishing his associates degree in criminal justice and psychology. The Granby police force will now have a total of four officers. City council members say they chose Kelley because he has good ideas for the department. It has not yet been determined when Kelley will take over as chief of police.
