JOPLIN, MO.--- Ronny Justin Myers was arrested on a federal warrant for furnishing obscene material to a minor under the age of 16. Myers is a network administrator in the administrative building at Joplin High School and has worked at the district since 2005.

The Southwest Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force began investigating after Myers contacted a 14-year-old Pittsburg girl through Facebook. Authorities say on Monday he sent 4 obscene images to the girl and arranged for both of them to meet at Northpark Mall. Law enforcement agents were waiting for him at the mall and arrested him.

Superintendent Doctor C.J. Huff says they will not take this incident lightly. "In this case, we're taking this very seriously, like we always do, and we'll proceed accordingly."

Myers remains in federal custody in Springfield and is expected to be in court on Tuesday.
