JOPLIN, MO.--- "Love Your Body Week" kicked off at Missouri Southern State University today. The program is offered by Advising, Counseling and Testing Services, or "ACTS."
Today in the Lion's Den, they offered free healthy snacks, including raisins, pretzels, and chocolate chips. Counselors also gave tips for eating healthy. Organizers say they're excited for the plans in the week ahead.
"We'll be in the Lion's Den everyday with brochures with health information. Today, we're doing 'Make A Healthy Snack.' Tomorrow we have a Spa Treatment Day scheduled, and the rest of the week we'll be out here with giveaways," said Sarah Nelderberg, Counselor and Academic Advisor.
Custom license plates, make-and-take magnets, and a "Health Hut" will available to students later this week.
