Young Professionals Network Joplin Business Tour

JOPLIN, MO.--- Missouri Southern State University students toured Joplin businesses to get an inside look at what careers the city has to offer. The event was a partnership with the Young Professionals Network.

As part of the tour, about a dozen students stopped by the KODE/KSN station. They got to see how our newsroom and other departments work. Organizers say it's a great way to expose the area to out-of-state students.

"We really want to show them the businesses here, the opportunities here so they want to stay here and raise their families here," said Valerie Searcy, Young Professionals Network.

Today's tours focused on marketing and health care professions.
