WEBB CITY, MO.-- A Webb City roundabout project will add North and South access off Highway 171 on the East side of Webb City. The roundabout will connect to Centennial Street to the South, and East Road to the North. The Environmental Protection Agency is providing fill to build up the site.

"It helps the EPA give them a place to put some of that fill that they're needing to move. We've done the same on other projects. We used the EPA's trucks and fill on disposal of some of that material on Hall Street," says Carl Francis, Interim W.C. City Administrator.

The project isn't currently affecting traffic, but will involve some lane closures in a couple of months. It's estimated to cost $1.8 million and should open to traffic by the end of the summer.
