Series of Canine Training Courses

Golden Paw Pet Resort announces a series of canine training courses by Joplin native, Jennifer Perry!

Jennifer received her Masters in Canine Modification Training from the Colorado Canine Companionship Program in May 2012. She also is certified through the United States Department of Labor as an Occupational Animal (dog) Trainer. Jennifer has completed over 8,000 hours of Canine Training specializing in rescue dogs with aggressive tendencies. In 2012, Jennifer also became certified as a specialized trainer for service dogs for individual with handicap disabilities. Her passion is to bring dogs to their highest potential so that they are happy, obedient pets. She is working to complete her certification for dogs to serve disabled veterans.

Joplin Humane Society Animal Adoption & Resource Center and Golden Paw Pet Resort are working together to provide the best obedience training for you and your dog! A FREE demonstration and an opportunity to meet the trainers will be Saturday, January 12th at 11:00 a.m. in the Joplin Humane Society Training Room (north side of the building).

There will be opportunities to talk to the trainers about your special needs. People only please for this session. You will also be able to register for classes starting the following week. "Stella" (rat terrier) and "Jezzie" (terrier/schnauzer mix) will be on hand for training demonstrations and some of their specialized tricks!

Saturday classes will be noon to 1:00pm for Beginning Obedience, starting January 19. Additional beginners and advanced obedience classes will be announced the day of the "meet and greet". For additional information, call 417-623-0842.
