NEOSHO, MO.--- The Access Family Care Clinic in Neosho officially opened to the public. The clinic has 3 patient rooms and 1 doctor. Clinic administrators say the majority of their clients are walk-ins patients with minor ailments.

They say clinics like this one actually help relieve emergency room overcrowding by offering people a more convenient way to seek help.

This is the 4th clinic the group has opened. Administrators say the new clinic meets what has become a growing need in the community.

"The community was saying, we don't want to have to drive to Anderson or Joplin, can you open a clinic here for us? So, we have tried to meet the community needs," says Debra Davidson, Chief Operations Officer.

Clinic leaders say since their soft opening several months ago they have been treating an average of between 15 and 25 patients each day
