JOPLIN, MO.--- Missouri Southern State University and Pittsburg State University have created their own YouTube versions of the "Harlem Shake."

The Harlem Shake video starts with a person wearing a helmet who starts to dance in the middle of a crowd while being ignored. The bass drops and then you cut to everyone doing the dance. Local students say their Facebook pages have been filled with links to the thousands of videos.

"Pretty much everything besides, oh I'm having a child, here's my new Harlem Shake video," says Leah Collings, MSSU Sophomore.

As of Valentine's Day, 40,000 different Harlem Shake videos have been uploaded to YouTube with 175 million views.
