JOPLIN -- More than 50 teams, around 200 people, Bowled for Kids' Sake Saturday as part of the Big Borthers Big Sisters of the Ozarks' annual fundraiser. The event is the organization's largest fundraiser, with a minimum $250 entry fee for each team. There were auctions, raffles and plenty of opportunities to knock down a strike or a spare. Organizers say money made from the bowling extravaganza is used to impact the lives of local kids.

"Help us find volunteers to be mentors for children in our community, just go out and have some fun with these littles," says program director Don Greenlee. "Give them a little bit of an additional positive role model in their life, a little bit more of an adult experience and adult interaction for them."

If you would like to make a donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks, call (417) 626-9244.
