Home Made Drain Non-Corrosive Cleaner

1 cup of baking soda
1-cup table salt
1/4-cup creme of tartar

The crème of tartar can be bought in bulk at certain health food stores.  Dump all together in a medium bowl.  Stir together and pour in a clean covered jar.  To use, pour 1/4 cup of mixture into the drain and immediately add 1 cup of boiling water. Wait 10 seconds and flush down with cold water. Do this weekly to keep your drain clog-free and odorless. Mixture makes about 2-1/4 cups.

Year Round Pest Control Spray

1 cup Liquid Dish Soap
1 cup Antiseptic Mouthwash
1 cup of Tobacco tea**

Mix all of the ingredients together in a 20-gallon hose end sprayer and give the plants a good shower. Repeat every two weeks throughout the growing season.

Cut Flowers In A Vase

Most people put too much water in a vase for cut flowers. Put only enough water so that all the stems are covered. Too much will make the stems rot faster. Also, pull off any leaves that are under water. Cut the stems with a knife or scissors at a 45-degree angle. Below is a mix that you can sue instead of plain water that will keep your cut flowers fresher longer.

1 cup Lemon-Lime Soda (Not Diet)
1/4 tsp. of household bleach
3 cups warm water (110 degrees)

Mix together in a bowl and pour into the vase. Insert the cut flowers.

Dog and Cat Repellent for Your Flower Beds

4 Tbsp. of Dry Mustard
3 Tbsp. of Cayenne Pepper
2 Tbsp. of Chili Powder
2 Tbsp. of Cloves
1 Tbsp. Tabasco Sauce
2 quarts of Warm Water

Mix all the ingredients together and sprinkle the solution around the outside edges of your flowerbeds. Animals don't like this solution so will stay away from your flowerbeds.
