Walk of Unity Working Agenda on May 22nd Tornado Anniversary

JOPLIN, MO -- In just over a week, the city of Joplin will remember the tornado with a "Walk of Unity."

The event is a 3.7 mile tour through the tornado zone.

It starts at 2 P.M. at 20th and Duquesne.

The tour includes stops at the 15th Street Wal-Mart and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

From there, Joplin school administrators will break ground on the new high school.

Participants will then walk to the Irving Elementary Playground and stop at the re-grand opening for Kraft Insurance Services.

The walk will end at Cunningham Park for a moment of silence at 5:41 P.M.

The key-note speaker will be Hal Donaldson the founder of Convoy of Hope.

A bronze plaque will also be dedicated to those who lost their lives on May 22nd.
