NEOSHO, MO.--- Neosho City Council members chose to repeal a cooperative agreement with the Transportation Development District, or TDD, which was established earlier this year for several projects around Neosho. The TDD is a group of land owners who make transportation improvements inside their designated area. They are responsible for collecting and utilizing a half cent sales tax inside the district. City leaders believe the TDD was formed improperly and will eventually be dissolved by the state.

"This basically repeals that agreement and allows us to be in a position to put a new agreement in place once a solution is found for the problems with the existing T-D-D," states Richard Davidson, Neosho Mayor.

The city and TDD were working together to construct a traffic light at Highway 60 and Kodiak Road in Neosho. Council members say it is unclear at this time what will happen with the project.
