Chef Jose- Tomato Basil Soup/Grilled Cheese

Tomato Basil Soup

Ingredients:

Canned Tomato Sauce or Crushed Tomatoes (if you want more texture)
Heavy Cream
Fresh Sweet Basil or Dried Sweet Basil Leaves
Chicken Stock
Sweet Cream Butter
Salt and Pepper to taste

Heat can of tomato sauce, slowly adding heavy cream, chicken stock and butter to taste.  You'll want the soup to have a duller red color.  Add basil and salt and pepper.


Pacific Coast Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients:

California-style Sourdough Sliced Bread
Sliced White American cheese
Sliced Chipotle Cheddar cheese
Thin sliced ripe tomato
Thin sliced onion
Fresh alfalfa sprouts
Avocado Mayo
Cooked bacon or ham (or both)

Simply butter your bread and grill until browned.  Add the rest of the ingredients and serve.
