JOPLIN, MO.--- The Joplin Humane Society is needing drivers to transport animals. Twice a week, animals are transported to different locations across the country with the help of volunteers.

The van and gas are provided for you. The animals will be transported to foster homes until they find a permanent home.

"All you have to show us is a current drivers license and, of course, a good driving record. Our van is an extended cargo van, pretty easy to drive, automatic with heat and air. So, its' a good day," says Lysa Buehler, Shelter Manager.

If you would like to volunteer, you can call (417) 623-3642 or sign up in person. The Joplin Humane Society is located at 140 East Emperor Lane.
