MIAMI, OK.--- Northeast A&M College in Miami starts a new literary journal for the four states. "Portmanteau" is currently in the works and will be published in a couple of months. It will be edited by NEO creative writing students.

The journal will be made up of poems, photographs an articles submitted by people in Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Kansas. Creator Andrew Nelson says it will help area artists and writers expand their audience.

"What we'd really like to do, is capture the rural and agrarian nature of our four state region and also highlight the writers and artist who are around in this region," said Andrew Olson, Portmanteau Founder.

The deadline to submit a piece is March 15th. If you'd like to submit a piece, click here.
