National Adult Immunization Awareness Week

Next week is National Adult Immunization Awareness Week. The goal is to improve public awareness on the importance of adult immunizations. Adult immunizations are safe, cost-effective and the best way to protect yourself and your community from vaccine preventable diseases.

Talk with your health professional about:

Influenza. (no expected shortages this year)
Tetanus-Diphtheria-Acellular Pertussis (Tdap)
Pneumococcal (people with chronic diseases and 65)
Hepatitis B
Hepatitis A
MMR
Varicella
Meningococcal (college kids)
Shingles (susceptible adults>60)
HPV (females 18-25)
