1. American Exploration: 1830s prints from the A.G. Edwards Collection with Native American sculptures by Joe Beeler. (Exhibit sponsored by A.G. Edwards Joplin branch)
2. Joe Beeler's American West: Paintings and sculpture by Joe Beeler. Joplin native, 1931-2006, one of the founders of the Cowboy Artists of America. Known internationally for his work, instrumental in bringing Western art into the forefront. Several of Beeler's sculptures will be for sale.
3. Paintings by Brigitte Woosley: Upstairs at Spiva, a selection of paintings on display (and for sale) by the first recipient of the Joe Beeler Memorial Fund Award at Spiva. The fund was created to honor Joe by encouraging the study & development of Western art... Brigitte is an award-winning artist from Texas. She teaches at the Western Art Academy in Kerrville, TX. One of the founders was Joe Beeler!
4. Spiva's annual 12 x 12 Auction. Member-artists create original art on 12 x 12" squares of masonite. A great way to collect original art by regional artists. All proceeds benefit Spiva. Through Nov. 30. Bid in person or online at www.spivaarts.org
