New Surgery Center at Via Christi

Administrators with Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg say their new surgery center is the largest expansion project at the hospital since it was built in 1971.
The center will feature five operating suites, two endoscopy procedure rooms, and a new faimly waiting area.
The $18 million project will be close to 40,000 square feet when it's completed, doubling the size of the current facility.
Administrators hope to break ground on the center later this summer, and have it completed in 18-24 months.
