JOPLIN, MO---   Before the sun came up this morning the Rand McNally and USA Today's "Best of the Road Team", arrived in Joplin. They are touring the city and logging their experience to take back to judges, who will decide if Joplin is indeed the friendliest small town in America.

Their day began with a sunrise breakfast and a hot air balloon ride simulation.  Video Blogger Jennifer Jordan says her first time in Joplin has gotten off to a great start.

Jordan says, "It's just great to come out and meet people and see what each town has offer.  Breakfast was so special, there was a bunch of quiche, and fruit, and coffee, and muffins.  Everything you could want or expect in a breakfast a mimosa kickoff was really great."

After breakfast, the day continued with a motorcycle tour of Reddings Mill and The Undercliff.
