Fatal Fire in Noel

NOEL, MO--- Shortly after 7:30 last night ,The Noel Fire Department, along with at least seven neighboring departments, responded to an apartment fire located on 59 HWY just North of the Arkansas State Line. Attempts were made to enter the building to rescue a five year old girl but they were unsuccessful. After the fire was extinguished, the child's body was located inside the building. The girl's father was flown to a Springfield hospital where he's being treated for serious burn injuries. The death and fire are under investigation at this time. The names of the girl and her father are not being released pending notification of the family.
