CARTHAGE, MO.--- They say this is the largest turnout ever in Marian Days 35 year history. Officers add, for that many people, crime was incredibly low and parking was the only major problem. 5 people were transported to area hospitals with heat related issues. Police Chief, Greg Dagnan said his officers did deal with some crime during the 4 day celebration.

"Couple DWI's, some drugs, a stolen gun that was recovered. Almost all those were at roadblock 1, people trying to come on the grounds. We had a minor DWI accident on scene. We had some guys on Harleys that were DWI during the parade, driving to the parade," states Chief Greg Dagnan, Carthage Police Department.

Dagnan says more crime happened throughout the rest of the city that with the estimated 60,000 attending Marian Days.
