JOPLIN, MO. --- This is the fifth year for the Joplin Holiday Experience.

The activities kick off next friday starting with the first performance of the Living Christmas Tree at Ozark Christian College.

The unveiling of the city hall window display and lighting of the city tree will also be held Friday evening.

Other events to follow include Dickensfest, the annual Christmas parade and a visit from the Kansas City Southern Railroad Holiday Express train.

"This is a time we have a lot of family visiting the Joplin market and we would like for them to come down and see not only the displays and the exhibits and the events going on, but also see the festivity of Joplin in the holiday season," says Patrick Tuttle, CVB director.
