A Fundraiser Brings In Big Bucks For Area Non-Profits

Crosslines, Salvation Army and Watered Gardens each got checks for more than $4,000 a piece to help pay for operational costs.
The money was raised last month at their inaugural empty bowls fundraiser.
It's something Phoenix Fired Art Owner Heather Grills says will benefit the entire community.
"I think that these organizations are directly feed hungry people in our area and this will make a lot of full bellies," says Heather Grills, owner of Phoenix Fired Art.
"She's actually given us money and not actually designated it she said we can keep it to keep the lights on and paying our staff even though crosslines is mostly done through volunteers we do have some staff members and it's nice to receive some funding for those types of items," says Kathy Lewis, Executive Director of Crosslines.
Organizers have already begun planning next year's empty bowls fundraiser.... which will be on the Third Thursday in November.
