LAMAR, MO. --- Commissioners and the sheriff met with AT&T officials today for a presentation on 911 equipment.

They are in the process of looking into what they need and what's available.

What they're currently using is older and parts are in need of replacement or repair.

The presiding commissioner doesn't expect they will need to replace all of it.

As previously reported, one of the stations is currently down. AT&T officials believe someone cut the lock, tampered with the equipment, and changed the password.

"Locks were broken and it was entered and we don't have any more knowledge on that as to what all was done there but we're still looking into it," Presiding Commissioner Mike Davis says.

The presiding commisisoner says AT&T officials are looking into what specific equipment was damaged.
