JOPLIN, MO.--- Carousel Park reopens for the year just in time for spring break. The local amusement park is holding their 4th annual "Spring Break Bash This Week". It's Carousel Park's first full week in operation since reopening for the spring 2013 season.

Families can enjoy special rates and new attractions at this event. Carousel Park owners say this year's theme is "Focus On Family" and they want to provide a fun and safe way for kids to spend their days off school.

"It is just a great event for the kids that are out of school to come out and ride rides and have a good time, maybe the people that don't get to travel out of town for spring break," said Monica Burlingame, Owner.

Route 66 Carousel Park reopens for the season with several new attractions. They've added a glass house, family photo area, and a new kids party room.
